Duo For Real are Paula Guersenzvaig and Mariana Lombard
Pólvora is a sono-visual conversation sparked by the archival materials of both artists. The field recording of the shot of a .22 automatic pistol—later dissected—breathes the remnants of its sonic matter into a dark, dense, and indeterminate visual stain. Just as ancient Chinese alchemists accidentally discovered the “medicine of fire”, our conversation decomposes matter in an attempt to transmute the vibratory effects of an experience.
Pólvora was part of the National Official Section of Experimental Video Art and New Technologies at the "CINE EN GRANDE" 2025 audiovisual festival, organized by the Audiovisual Development Coordination of the Secretariat of Culture of the Province of Tierra del Fuego.
Pólvora will be part of the 14th International Exhibition of Sound and Interactive Art, IN-SONORA, Madrid, March 2026.
